Hey! Mr.DJ! Entertainment Services was originally developed in 1995 in Bowling Green, KY.  Starting off on the campus scene our DJs are now masterminds in keeping a crowd engaged and entertained. Moving to Louisville, KY in the early 2000’s allowed so many doors to open for us as we were invited to start doing weddings. The word of mouth of our success and overall fun demeanor started booming, leading us to book several weddings back to back and continue this type of scheduling for many years. We got so many bookings from people telling their friends and family that we’ve never even needed to be apart of a wedding show to advertise our business. 

What this means is that when booking our DJ services, you not only are getting one of the longest running professional DJ in the Kentuckiana area but you are getting a professional who knows how to read your crowd and keep your party going all night long. 

Our DJs are experienced in leading karaoke, lighting the room, crowd management and keeping people wanting to have fun. Everyone can think of that one boring wedding they’ve gone to, and what happens when you got bored? You left. Our mission is to make sure that your guests are having so much fun that you’ll have to be pushing them out the door because they wont want to leave!

In business for 26+ years he has developed a knack for being a multitasker. He will do everything in his power to help everyone at your event from the guests to the other vendors. Mr. DJ is skilled in all things event and wedding oriented. He does everything from leading the guests in interactive experiences, to dancing with grandma, leading line dances, ensuring timelines are met to making a smooth event occur, to magic tricks with the kids and even helping remove plates from tables, all while keeping the dance floor full and helping the guests burn off the calories from dinner!

FAQ

An experienced DJ will be able to read your crowd and react to their musical tastes. While you may load an iPod up with a lot of songs you may like, think about your guests. The most talked about receptions are where the guests are having a fun time and the dance floor is busy. You’ve heard the term “silence is golden” – well, not when it comes to DJing. One of my pet peeves is to have silence between songs. You want your music to flow from song to song, not starting and stopping.

Aside from the music, in our experience some times family members or friends can’t handle all of the other particulars that take place during a reception, such as introductions, dismissing tables for the buffet line, announcing bouquet/garter toss, interacting with the crowd, games etc. While it may be a way to cut costs of the reception, it will have a greater impact on the quality of the night. Your guests will be talking about it for a long time, but unfortunately not in a good way. The DJ is the most IMPORTANT part of the reception!

Sure do. We have several options including LED.

This is your choice. Normally, we do take requests from your guests, unless you specify otherwise. However, we try to ensure that requests are appropriate for the occasion and that it is something that people will dance to.

For an additional fee we can. But, a lot of people are getting away from this practice.

What kind of silly question is that! Of course you can.

Good question, of course DJ, but they also offer Emcee, and help other vendors as needed, and can help cleanup after the fact.

Yep, additional fees apply.

It is a common practice and it is very much appreciated! You’re the star of the show, and the DJ will make sure to make that known! We generally think 15-20% gratuity is fair!

Yep! Our most popular is the LED floor!

We encourage you to grab your favorite drink and sit down with youtube or spotify and search the “Top or Most common songs for…” and choose the one that suits you best!

This is a customary practice that most people do take part in. Our DJs work hard to keep the night fun and they appreciate any tips they may receive. 

For most events it’s a 2-hour minimum. However there are exceptions to this rule, Contact Us for your situation.

When you book with us to do a wedding reception, you usually get one person, your DJ. If you are also booking your Videography, Photography, photo Booth, or rentals with us you could expect at least one person per service. If we are setting up your rentals for you expect 2-6 people before hand and afterward to ensure a beautiful set-up.

Yes, it is common practice for an extra table to be available for your wedding vendors.
